About Us

Operation TBI Freedom (OTF) is a free, statewide program, run by Denver Options', that provides care coordination for active duty and military veterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI) who have served in the current Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. OTF relies on Denver Options' 18 years of care coordination expertise to provide the best individualized supports and resources to improve their quality of life. The program is funded entirely through generous donations from individuals and organizations.

Traumatic brain injury has been identified as a "signature" injury in the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts. The Operation TBI Freedom program was founded through the inspiration and generous donation of Dob Bennett. After hearing about the struggles veterans, their spouses and families were facing after they returned from serving their country, Mr. Bennett sought the help of Denver Options in creating the program. Denver Options already served Colorado residents with traumatic brain injury through state funding, so it was a natural transition to start helping veterans with TBI as well.

The vision of Operation TBI Freedom is to help military personnel and veterans return to full and satisfying lives after being injured while serving their country. Care Coordinators are assigned to each veteran, helping them navigate through community and military systems. Ongoing education and training opportunities are also offered to veterans, providers, caregivers and family members.
